Meet the New SAVAGE 2 Power Kite Design.
Continuing on the success of the original Savage 4 line fixed power kite, and incorporating all the flyer feedback from last year, the Savage 2, has many innovations which bring it screaming into the 2010 season
The bridle system has had a major reworking, introducing a fully floating trailing edge connection system across the centre half of the span, giving a smoother trailing edge form during 4 line turns. Also it has increased the reverse accuracy of the kite when landing, as well as collapsing the wing during full reverse (crash mode).
But it doesn/t stop there
At the edge of the window the power and the stability have been increased for super stable one handed flying, (no more lines under the wheels).
An all new Triangulated crossover bridle gives incredibly fast turns with only a two line flying style input. This system has a three position adjustment with no free ends to tangle, and its own triangulated primary bridles, spreading the load of the crossover across a larger area of the "driving" side of the wing, reducing deformation of the canopy during the turns. This increasing the lift during the turn. All bridles are stitched unsleeved dyneema for reduced drag as on the Savage 1
Colour coded lines and stitched toggles complete the set up, with new handles also colour coded.
The Savage kites have been rigorously developed by Andy Preston and tested by Mark Everitt whose input has been invaluable. This machine just gets meaner.
They should be available in all new menacing "Darkside" colour scheme with red and green colour coded tips for easy identificacion when looping. And super crisp "Liteweight" colour scheme, again with tip colour reference.
Fully laser cut panels giving incredible build quality and perfect profile shape. Eliptical trailing edge for great lightwind performance and active rear lines, for a bit more bosst should you require it.
Its smooth lifting style will propel you skyward in a smooth and progressive way, leaving you more time for freestyle trickery on the way up, and giving a longer smoother decent back down, this kite has the speed for use as a kite landboard/buggy freestyle/racing kite, or a low wind recreational power kite. The narrow profile of these kites size for size gives better penetration ino the edge of the window for superior upwind performance.
